Above Average Candle Studio is growing—and bringing its signature, vibe-driven experiences to a brand-new neighborhood. Opening June/July 2026, the studio will debut its second Chicago location at 2222 E. 75th Street in the vibrant South Shore community.
What started as a candle-making experience has evolved into something much bigger: a destination where creativity, connection, and culture meet. The South Shore expansion marks a major step forward in making these experiences more accessible while continuing to build community through immersive, hands-on workshops.

This concept blends creativity, sustainability, and empowerment, giving brides a hands-on role in their wedding journey—while creating unforgettable pre-wedding moments.
With Style & Charm
With Style & Charm is an interactive charm bar experience where guests can design custom necklaces, bracelets, and keepsakes—paired perfectly with fragrance and candle-making.

Sip Into Serenity
A wellness-forward, sensory experience. Sip Into Serenity invites guests to create custom loose-leaf tea blends using herbs, florals, and exotic ingredients—paired with calming, aromatherapy-inspired candle making. This offering brings a softer, more restorative energy —perfect for guests seeking relaxation, mindfulness, and a moment to unwind. Sip Into Serenity is currently a workshop/mobile experience offered at our studio locations. We are currently looking for a space to open a Sip Into Serenity Modern Tea House.
Front Porch Truffles by The Soulful Bite
Front Porch Truffles , by The Soulful Bite are handcrafted, small-batch chocolate truffles designed to bring people together — just like a good conversation on the front porch. Each truffle is made with rich, indulgent ingredients and inspired by nostalgic, feel-good flavors—inspired by southern desserts.
